Assassin’s Creed 4 Coming in 2014

By Amelia Hunter

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 was released not so long ago, and most gamers haven’t even finished playing it yet (I’m playing it at the moment, by the way, and I hope to review it next week). But since Assassin’s Creed series are so popular worldwide, Ubisoft have decided to start working on a new installment to it as soon as possible. So we’ll most likely see Assassin’s Creed 4 in 2014!

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced the new title during the company’s third-quarter earnings call.assassins-creed-4

We are delighted and proud to announce today that in financial year ’14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period, and we expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise. It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin’s Creed game”, he said.

Though no details are available at the moment, we know that the new game will bring a new hero and a new setting. Most fans hope that the new game will take place somewhere in China. I’m one of those fans, too. I think Chinese landscapes, clothes and society will take the next Assassin’s Creed to a new level. Besides, “Chinese” games have always been popular: “Jade Empire”, for example, was widely played by gamers all over the world thanks to that special atmosphere it had.

What do you think about this? Where would you like the new Assassin to live and fight?

She also thinks that “Der Golem” by Gustav Meyrink is one of the best books in the world, and “The Witcher 1,2” and “Dragon Age 1,2” are among the best games ever.
